About Us

Our Story

Mr. Jimmy Durbin first started peach farming with his father and brother in 1950 as a young man. Later in his life he left the farm for a military deployment in the United States Army. However, as Mr. Jimmy always said "farming is in your blood, it's part of who you are" and he returned to Chilton County and peach farming. Once he returned home he met and married Mrs. Jettie Durbin. Together he, Mrs. Jettie, and their two sons, Gary and Tim Minor continued the long lived history of peach farming in central Alabama.

Mr. Jimmy passed away in 2018 followed shortly after by his wife Jettie. However, their legacy continues to live on here at the farm. Mr. and Mrs. Durbin always believed strongly in God, family, country. They insisted the farm be run in a way which reflects these core values. J. Durbin Farms continues to uphold this and we strive every day to make sure our products and service reflects these values which were so important to Mr. Jimmy and Mrs. Jettie.
